I felt that this picture, expressed in shades of black, tells a deeply rich story. Within the delicate gradations, one is able to feel the air, the temperature, the expressions, and the emotions of this depicted world. There is a depth in this work, similar to the depth seen in Japanese ink wash paintings, and it is a work that reaffirms the expressiveness of the color black. I think that the compositional arrangement, made in black and grey, raises the degree of completion of this work as well. It is a work that makes the viewer want to gaze at it forever.
